J. Heyrovský Institute wins prestigious ERA Chairs project

The Heyrovský Institute succeeded among 158 grant proposals in the ERA Chairs program, securing support for the ambitious project "Space Chemistry and Technology at the J. Heyrovský Institute". This project aims to develop collaboration in space research and space technologies, and to create an excellent research facility.

The ERA Chairs program of the European Union aims to attract top researchers to research institutions across Europe and enhance their research capacity. The success of the institute in this prestigious program represents a significant step towards the development and internationalization of Czech research.

Ambitious European Union Program

As part of the project, the Heyrovský Institute will welcome the distinguished scientist, Professor Bernd Abel from Leipzig University. Professor Abel will closely collaborate with experts from the departments of Dr. Ján Žabka and Dr. Martin Ferus, creating a new dynamic research team focused on space chemistry and space technologies.

We are extremely pleased to collaborate even more closely with Professor Abel and his team,” said Dr. Ján Žabka, who has previously worked with Professor Abel's team on several projects. “His contribution will be invaluable to our institute.
