Searching for signs of life in the clouds of Venus: The VeReDo symposium in Prague

International experts engaged in Venus research met in Prague at the symposium of the project VeReDo – Redox Disequilibrium in the Clouds of Venus: A Sign of Life?, held on 18–20 February 2026.

The presented contributions focused on chemical and physical processes in the atmosphere of Venus and included discussions of upcoming missions by the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA.

The symposium was held in a hybrid format at the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry in Prague. It was attended by the project leaders Martin Ferus and Peter Woitke and further strengthened international and interdisciplinary collaboration in Venus research.
