Financial Manager for Research Projects in Project Office

The J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry opens a job position for Financial Manager for Research Projects in Project Office.

Job description
•    Preparation of project application budgets and financial management of national and international projects (especially the European Commission and the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports)
•    Supporting financial consulting for researchers in the preparation of project applications
•    Financial control of projects – checking the accuracy of accounting, ongoing control of project expenditures, and budget spending predictions
•    Supervising compliance with eligibility conditions for expenses in accordance with the provider's methodological documentation
•    Cooperation on public procurement in project implementation
•    Management and control of financial obligations arising from contracts and orders
•    Provision of methodological consultations on the rules of calls 
•    Processing of administrative documents, i.e., the financial part of monitoring reports, preparation of payment requests, and cooperation on financial control or project audits


Qualifications
•    University degree in economics, is not a condition
•    Experience in financial management of projects funded by the OP JAK and Horizon Europe programs welcome
•    Knowledge of project management and reporting systems, accounting, and accounting procedures is an advantage
•    Knowledge of public procurements is an advantage
•    Ability to analyze program documents
•    Personal development in the field of grant consulting
•    Willingness to work independently and in a team
•    Carefulness, responsibility, ability to organize work tasks, and proactive approach
•    Organizational and communication skills
•    Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
•    Communication skills in Czech and English at least at the B2 level required
