Somorjai-Visiting-Miller-Professorship Award of the UC Berkeley

The award brings a visiting scholar to University of California, Berkeley within a one semester.  Prof. Bernd Abel stayed at the university during the period winter 2018/19. The award provided approximately USD 12,000 to support travel and research expenses associated with the visit. During his stay, Prof. Abel engaged in collaborative research with Berkeley scientists and contributed to the intellectual life of the Miller community by giving talks and participating in institute events.
