A postdoctoral position in computitional zeolite chemistry
The postdoctoral fellow will use mainly periodic DFT to model the structure, reactivity, catalytic activity and properties of zeolite based materials. The scientific work will be done in a close collaboration with experimentalists. The position requires a strong scientific background in either computational (applied quantum) chemistry (experience with QM/MM and periodic DFT approaches is a plus) or solid state physics (experience with periodic DFT approaches for studying crystalline solids is a plus). The applicant must hold a PhD. degree in chemistry or physics.
The position is initially for 1 year with a possibility of an extension depending on the availability of the funding and if mutually agreeable. The J. Heyrovsky Institute is located in the beautiful and safe city of Prague (the capital of the Czech Republic). Prague offers outstanding opportunities for culture and entertainment.
