Abstract:
The project is aimed at the synthesis of new heterogenous catalysts for olefin metathesis based on transition metal oxides supported on mesoporous molecular sieves. Synthesis of mesoporous molecular sieves of different structure and chemical composition will be followed by their modification with Mo, and Re oxides. Detailed investigation of interaction between metal oxide and mesoporous support will be performed using a combination of experimental techniques (XRD, ESCA, FTIR, Raman) to understand the changes occuring during catalyst preparation, activation, reaction and regeneration. The understanding of the relationship among the structure of active sites, inner geometry of reaction spece in mesoporous range and reaction mechanism and activity and selectivity will allow the tailored synthesis of highly active and selective heterogeneous catalysts for metathesis of linear olefins and their functinalized derivatives with the application in the synthesis of fine chemicals.
