Abstract:
The project is focused on the complex description of the synthesis of zeolites ferrierite, ZSM-5 and MCM-22, ITQ-2 and MCM-36 and the elucidation of the relationship between conditions of zeolite synthesis, Al (Fe) distribution in these zeolites and their catalytic activity. Zeolites ferrierite, MCM-22 and ZSM-5 will be prepared using various sources of Si and Al (Fe), with different templates and under various conditions of the synthesis. Prepared materials will be characterized using XRD, SEM and FTIR. Al distribution will be obtained by the combination of UV-Vis-NIR spectroscopy, various MAS NMR techniques, FTIR spectroscopy and theoretical modeling. Information on Al distribution in zeolites prepared will be used to elucidate mechanism controlling this distribution. Catalytic activity in the acid/base catalyzed reactions of zeolites with different Al distribution will be investigated to elucidate the relation between Al distribution and catalytic properties of zeolites.
