Secondary schools
Every year, we offer a wide range of programs for secondary school students, introducing them to physical chemistry and the science and research conducted by our teams (download the current brochure presenting the institute's educational programs). https://www.3nastroje.cz/data/dokument/soubor/Nase_programy-rocne_letak.pdf
When we refer to systematic educational activities for secondary school students, these are:
- Educational programs including lectures, excursions, and demonstrations of practical experiments in laboratories.
- Workshops for lower secondary school students, which take place in our EDU center and run throughout the school year.
- Internships for talented students, in which our scientists participate as mentors, both within the Czech Academy of Sciences project Open Science (www.otevrenaveda.cz) and beyond.
- Two summer schools, each lasting one week, introduce gifted students interested in natural sciences to some of the fields of our modern research (example of the NANO2024 school - https://www.3nastroje.cz/detail.php?p=71).
- Chemistry clubs and Saturday courses for students in the lower grades of eight-year grammar schools.
