Thanks to the support of the Fulbright Scholar Program, Prof. Yu Lei shared his expertise in the Department of Nanocatalysis

The Department of Nanocatalysis of the J. Heyrovský Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Czech Academy of Sciences had the honor to host distinguished Fulbright Scholar Professor Yu Lei of the University of Alabama in Huntsville, USA. During the three months of his stay, Prof. Lei presented his research to the staff of the Institute and external colleagues in a form of a seminar, got involved in various activities of the nanocatalysis team from research to series of tutorials on advanced data acquisition and processing, just to name the most prominent examples.

Prof. Lei contributed to the Summer School on Nanocatalysis as well, with his tutorial introducing the science of atomic layer deposition used for the design of nanostructured catalysts down to a single atom and discussions with the young attendees of the School. The daily interactions of Prof. Lei with students and young scientists have significantly contributed to the broadening of their knowledge of the nanocatalysis and materials field in general.

The visit paved a road to establish new avenues for future scientific collaboration with the department of Prof. Lei.
