Barbora Sedmidubská receives Henri Becquerel Award
Barbora Sedmidubská has been honored with a scientific award from the French Embassy in the Czech Republic for 2025. The award was presented to her by Nobel Prize winner in Chemistry Jean-Marie Lehn and French Ambassador Stéphane Crouzat at a ceremony held on June 26, 2025 at Buquoy Palace.
The French Embassy scientific awards recognize young scientists from Czech universities and research centers in seven categories: chemistry, computer science and informatics, medicine, pharmacy, nuclear research, humanities and social sciences, and climatology with environmental sciences. Each category has its sponsor from prominent institutions and companies.
Candidates from across the Czech Republic are evaluated by an international jury of French and Czech experts based on the quality of their doctoral dissertation work. The three best candidates in each category receive a financial contribution, and the first two also receive a scholarship for a month-long research stay at a French laboratory of their choice.
We congratulate Barbora Sedmidubská on this achievement!
