The project focuses on the investigation of high-quality thin films of n-doped semiconducting ternary oxides (containing Zn and Sn) and their derivatives. Various characterization methods will be applied, in particular Kelvin probe and advanced electrochemical techniques. The project aims to explore new challenges in films with different orientations, including work function, band gap, conduction band edge, and their spectro/photo/electrochemical characteristics. Although the project is aimed at basic research, its results are expected to have an impact on energy storage.
