Job description
We are seeking a motivated student researcher to join a Czech Science Foundation project focused on biophysical design and evaluation of hybrid nanocarriers topical glaucoma treatment.
The project aims to develop and characterize advanced nanocarrier systems for ocular drug delivery, with an emphasis on improving drug bioavailability and therapeutic efficacy in glaucoma treatment. The work will involve a combination of computational and experimental approaches spanning physical chemistry and biophysics.
The student will gain hands-on experience with modern techniques for studying biomolecular interactions, nanoscale systems, and drug delivery platforms, and will contribute to the design and evaluation of innovative therapeutic materials.
The successful candidate will join an international research team with strong expertise in biologically relevant interfaces and pharmaceutical applications, with opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
Responsibilities and duties will focus on computational part of the project.
Results will be published in peer-reviewed journals with appropriate co-authorship.
Required Qualifications
- a BSc or MSc in chemistry, physics, or a related field
- fundamental knowledge of computational and experimental methods of physical chemistry and biophysics
- strong English communication skills, both spoken and written
Preferred skills
- strong knowledge of general physical chemistry
- ability to work efficiently both as part of a team and independently
Desired skills
- previous experience with classical molecular dynamics simulations for biological systems
