The tradition of a MOLEC Award was initiated during the 1996 edition in Denmark. The award is granted to scientist who have strong connections with the research community of MOLEC, for their outstanding contributions to the field of Dynamics of Molecular Collisions. So far the award was granted to:

1998: Franco A. Gianturco, Rome, Italy
2004: Raphael D. Levine, Jerusalem, Israel.
